Business Geographics Limited was incorporated in England (registration number 2855314) in 1993. The company is based in Central London.

Following several years of strong growth an equity sale resulted in the company becoming a member of the Interpublic Group of Companies in Summer of 1997.

The Interpublic Group (NYSE:IPG) is one of the world's largest advertising and communications services companies.

Interpublic Inc. was officially created in 1960, becoming the holding company for two wholly-owned subsidiaries, McCann Erickson and Marschalk and Pratt, an agency which had been acquired by McCann Erickson in 1954. In 1964, the corporation was renamed The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc., and it has been know by that moniker ever since.

During the early 60s, The Interpublic Group began to add to its growing family, purchasing existing agencies in the U.S. and abroad and opening new offices around the world.

The company went public in March 1971 at $17.50 per share, and IPG joined the New York Stock Exchange (ticker symbol: IPG) that August. In the decades that have followed, IPG has watched its gross income and profits rise over 1,100 percent and has carefully added building block after building block to its organisation, offering clients the best of both worlds: the strength and consolidated resources of a major holding company and the personal attention and individual creativity of the agencies and marketing communications specialists that comprise its family.

Today, IPG's agencies are among the giants of the advertising and communications services industry - prestigious, well-respected and able to deliver on their promises.
